Wirgler Workshop WESTERN DRESSAGE II
July 8, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Western Dressage is a discipline that challenges you to be better and more subtle in your communication with your horse This is part 2 in the series and we will continue our study of balance and suppleness needed to keep your horse healthy and sound while you continue to ask more of your horse. We will study the gaits and balance needed to execute some of the upper level maneuvers. We will learn about how our equitation can help or hinder our horse from being the best it can be. – I know you are ready for some more advanced things to think about and practice. I have been wanting to challenge some of you, and share with you the preparation and execution of some more advanced riding maneuvers that are used in Western Dressage . We may our way up in the second part of the series to practicing some of the beautiful maneuvers like Flying lead changes, and those beautiful diagonal moves like trotting leg yields, and half passes (do you know the difference?) And then how do you prepare and teach your horse to Piaffe (trot in place) or do a canter Pirouette? Although we will not be able to introduce all of these maneuvers- I want to leave you with some things to practice to help your horse build he condition needed to execute these beautiful moves.
Fee for the full day class is $150.00
