A few comments after attending a Wirgler Workshop...
Hi Susan,
I had a really great day yesterday. Thank you for helping us get over our issues at least the most current ones. I am always amazed at how much your clinics help build trust and partnership with our horses. I am still amazed at the things I was able to get Melody to do yesterday. I rode her this morning and it went much better. I took what you told me yesterday and just moved her feet where I wanted her to go and changing the way I was working my reins was a big help.
She still has a lot to learn about yielding to leg but we have a starting point now. I loped her in my arena and it went well, she readily picks up the canter and while it is not a perfect circle the lead is correct we can work on the rest. My husband rode out with me around the neighborhood this morning and she did fantastic. I figured it was a good day to do it after having such a successful day yesterday and it worked out very well.
The confidence boost you gave us yesterday was much needed as you could tell I was struggling with a bit of a fear issue. Always good to be reminded that you have to be the leader to get the job done.
I do want to get together with you again soon. Let me know when you are available. I am a very happy girl for all that got accomplished this weekend with my mare.
Thank you again,
- Tracie
!And thanks for the great clinic, Susan. You have wonderful ability and enthusiasm to teach and I feel so lucky to know you! (Thanks, Janice, for bringing Susan to us!) I'm going to show Jim what I learned so he can work on getting Blue more flexed and rounded. It really helps doing a "hands on" clinic and seeing the Master doing it right. You are a real gem, Susan."

You gave a great workshop and I realize how difficult the day was for you. So many riders with problems and problem horses. You kept your cool and never seemed to get upset or angry with anyone. You worked very hard...Thank you for a great day. I am tired this morning, my body let's me know that I'm not in my 40's any more, darn. I see the light at the end of the tunnel for Sierra and I, and it's because of you!!!"

I picked up the rope and she backed up with gusto, I warmed her up with ground work and she was paying attention, but she was still whip shy so I also worked with the Clinton Anderson stick and tossed the whip on and around her while she stood. Stops were quick and straight and her one rein stops were good and she was really flexible. I rode her around the block and worked on more stops in a trail environment. What a difference! Although I think my whole attitude is much better and I'm not letting her slack off. Wow....thanks!"

I wanted to let you know today was the third ride and they just keep getting better we are trotting as of yesterday and our circles are getting bigger every day. She has been a good girl and is very nice in her steering a little hard to get going into the trot at first but then she figures out what I want and gets going nicely. To say I am happy is an understatement every time a door closes a window opens and her personality is so much like the wonderful horse we lost I kind of feel she is riding along with us encouraging us on. LaNiece and I both learned so much and enjoyed our day with you it sure won’t be the last you see of us whether it is a semi private lesson or one of your day long clinics and of course if I hit a bump in the rode I will surely be calling you for help. - Tracie and Melody
