Jeanne and Dancer – “Cowboy Dressage Workshop”

Susan, I am sitting in my family room, reminiscing about today-- and the accomplishments that I have made with Dancer- (and Rio) -and more so - my riding abilities and aspirations. I had many, many months after I got hurt that I did not think I would ever ride again- and suspected that if I ever did get back into the saddle it would be at a walk and I would have to be grateful for that much ( and I would have been-- cause I was so determined !) Nancy helped me over the first hurdle (and several hurdles since- bless her!)--- but I owe most of my success to you and your coaching, encouragement, and endless, patient support in making my equine dreams come true. Your approach the "process" of riding in a way that makes sense to me mentally so I can translate it to my body and then to the horse. And, it all CLICKS when it works-- and then we build to the next step, knowing that I am setting a good and sensible foundation for my horse- and my self. My heart feels joy, ( my body feels pain!, did I say that?)---and I am proud of the relationship that I am creating with both Dancer and Rio. They are happier horses, I am a more confident and exhilarated rider and it is an honor and joy for me to be riding with you and doing this work. The more I learn, the more I want to know and the farther I want to push myself. Thanks for the encouragement, the lessons, the opportunity to dream big and ride better each and every time I crawl upon their backs! It makes me whole-- and that is a wonderful feeling. You are enriching my life in ways that you will never know- and I thank you for being you and caring for me and my life dreams.
